Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz have announced a joint album, Welcome 2 Collegrove, which will be released on the same day as Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2. The release date for both albums is set for November 17th. Wayne and Chainz also recently announced the first single “Presha” from their upcoming album. “Welcome 2 Collegrove” is the rappers’ follow-up to their 2016 project Collegrove. Interestingly, the album title is a mash-up of Chains’ hometown of College Park, Georgia and Wayne’s hometown of Hollygrove, Louisiana.

Meanwhile, Pink Friday 2 will be Minaj’s first album in five years. It is the follow-up to her 2010 debut album Pink Friday, which included hits such as “Super Bass” and “Roman’s Revenge” featuring Eminem. Minaj’s fifth studio album has so far released two singles – “Super Freaky Girl” and “Last Time I Saw You”. Additionally, on March 3, Minaj released the promotional song “Red Ruby Da Sleeze”. Only recently, she shared a teaser of her upcoming album on social media.
Before sharing the news of their first single, “Presha,” Chainz and Wayne showed off their sweet bond and friendship over the years in a series of photos on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption, “It’s been a minute… we’re going live tonight.” …” The post quickly went viral and received more than 98.9 thousand views. Since then, Nicki Minaj fans, as well as Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz fans, couldn’t contain their excitement. This is big news for hip-hop fans as all three artists are well-known performers in the genre and have a huge following. Pink Friday 2 has already racked up a large number of pre-sales, as can be seen from various posts on X, formerly Twitter.
