Tim Miller reveals big news about the film coming out next summer

Now we know how Borderlandthe film adaptation of the eponymous and very famous video game franchise, which will be released next summer, has clearly had a difficult road.

After filming, which has now wrapped in September 2021, deafening silence about the project, which led many insiders to even fear the film’s unexpected cancellation. Legitimate concerns aside, any doubts were put to rest in recent months when Lionsgate announced the film’s official release date.

Now to talk about the new update Borderland was Tim Millerformer director Dead Pool AND Terminator – Dark Fatewho during the interview given Collider told his impressions about the project.

As we know, in January Miller took over from Eli Roth, who was forced to step down due to some scheduling conflicts in order to complete additional filming on the film. The director, however, had no hesitation in calling the experience “liberating” and was a big fan of the saga. Borderland he expressed all his enthusiasm by allowing veiled optimism what will the final product be like:

It was an interesting experience to take on and remake a film that was not yours. AND liberating experience where you feel like I’m just here to help in any way I can. But my main reason is that I love the video game industry so much, I want every video game adaptation to be successful, and to be honest, I wanted to work with Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart and Jamie Lee Curtis. And Ariana Greenblatt, the young woman who plays Tiny Tina, is just as fantastic as everyone saw in Barbie. So it was a great experience in every way. I was feeling a little rusty so I was glad to get back on the bike. The film rises and comes to life. It’s a good trip.
