Martin Scorsese and collaboration with Chanel – “the highest award”

Timothée Chalamet was brutally honest when he spoke about his collaboration with Martin Scorsese to create Bleu de Chanel.

In a conversation with Harper’s Bazaar about the Bleu de Chanel ad, Chalamet spoke about it. “In this short film, I play a sort of caricature of how my life might be viewed, in a sort of hyper-realized setting and sort of the advertising demands that come with acting,” he said.

Speaking about the opportunity to work with Scorsese, Chalamet said: “One of the highest honors, to say the least.” That The greatest honor of my career: working with Martin Scorsese in New York. I’m a New York boy, I’m a New York actor. Crossing something important off my personal bucket list.”

Timothée Chalamet has worked with some great directors throughout his career. He has starred in films by Christopher Nolan, Luca Guadagnino, Greta Gerwig, Wes Anderson, Denis Villeneuve, Adam McKay and Paul King. In the future, he will play the main role in the film “Wonka” from the director of “Paddington” King. The 2021 sequel to Dune, Dune: Part Two, will be released next spring.

Martin Scorsese is 80 years old, but he’s not slowing down. The director began his full-length directorial career in 1967 with the film Who’s That Knocking at My Door. Since then, he has directed such classic films as Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, Raging Bull, The Departed and The Wolf of Wall Street.

His latest film is Killers of the Flower Moon. The Western epic describes the conflict among the Osage people after the discovery of oil. Along with Lily Gladstone, the film stars longtime colleagues Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro. The film will be released in full theatrical release on October 20 and will then be available to watch on Apple TV+.

While the two have yet to make a feature film together, we hope the Blue De Chanel collaboration will be the first of many between Chalamet and Scorsese.
