Marvel Cinematic Universe: Scarlet Witch removed from next official book in MCU timeline

This October Marvel Studios Marvel Cinematic Universe: Official Timeline hits the shelves. However, the fan favorite character Elizabeth Olsen it will not be featured on the cover. Indeed, in the official catalog of Penguin Random House, Loki AND Sylvie were included in place of Scarlet Witch. Together with the duet on the cover there are Iron Man, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Shang-Chi AND Thanos. It’s a good mix of new and old characters as fans get into the heart of the Multiverse saga. However, it’s hard to argue that Olsen’s character wouldn’t have been prominent.

It’s worth noting that the first cover revealed by Marvel Studios had the “cover subject to change” tag in one corner. Technically, Scarlet Witch no longer exists after the events. Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness. (Curiously, Iron Man is still featured despite being canonically dead after the second shot in Avengers: Endgame.) However, it looks like Loki and Sylvie will play a big role in the future. Tom Hiddleston is preparing for the second season of Loki in October. Only a few weeks before the release of this volume, which is perhaps why the Asgardians are so well represented. See the cover for yourself.

What would Elizabeth Olsen want from Scarlet Witch’s return?

It almost goes without saying that Marvel Studios will bring Scarlet Witch back after Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Meanwhile, fans have been wondering when Elizabeth Olsen will return to the MCU. It is clear that the actress has been thinking about this for a long time. In an earlier interview with ScreenRant, the Marvel star has only one thing in mind for his possible return as the Scarlet Witch. I really want to do the unexpected after hard emotional work in Wanda Vision and after he became a true force of nature in the Doctor Strange sequel.

“Now we can do whatever we want with her! I feel like we’ve done so much,” Olsen said. “Now we can truly enjoy; I feel like a lot more humor could be done with her and I’m curious to see what we can explore. And I hope we can give her some redemption.”
