Megan Thee Stallion has a “funny girl fall” with “cocks” and a “big mouth”

Our pick for last year’s most infamous cameo came from the Disney Channel. She-Hulk: Lawyer. Noanother one besides rap star Megan Thee Stallion came to the Marvel show, playing her version and twerking at the end of the episode. She only had a couple of lines, but it was hard to deny Megan’s natural on-screen charisma, even if it may have snapped us out of any sense of reality. She-Hulk tried to create in the first place.

Luckily, the movie and TV gods took notice of this deliciously weird guest spot, because Megan Thee Stallion is back in not one, but two different projects this year—and this time, they’re fully realized roles. Remarkably, both receive wide release on the same day: A24’s outlandish film. Dicks: The Musicaland Netflix Season 7 Big mouth. Both of these projects make smart use of Megan’s star personality and musical genius while giving us something fresh. And, fortunately, both confirm that She-Hulk hinted: Megan Thee Stallion is a comedy star.

IN Dicks: The MusicalMegan plays Gloria Masters, a money-obsessed executive at the company where the main characters, twins Trevor (Aaron Jackson) and Craig (Josh Sharp), work as salesmen. Although she only appears in a couple of scenes, Gloria makes it clear from the beginning that she is ruthless and persistent. She pits Trevor and Craig against each other in pursuit of the almighty dollar, ultimately getting them both fired. She’s the closest thing to a real villain in the film.

There’s nothing inherently glamorous about playing the one-track boss of a trading company, but Megan brings charisma to the role, proving that she’s a real magnet on the screen. Megan has the ability to make you want to be a scavenger, which is an extremely difficult task these days. By managing to turn a potentially funny role into a desirable one, Megan turns her blatant disinterest in human resources into something incredibly chic. It might even make you want to become a scavenger – an incredibly difficult task.

Best of all is Megan’s stunning musical number, “Out Alpha the Alpha.” The female empowerment anthem is certainly one of the most vulgar and laughable songs in recent memory, the intentions of which are clear from the start. “We are told that boys will be boys. God, what nonsense,” sings Gloria. “They’re all dirty bags of cum.” This is not just an opinion; the way Meghan presents it sounds more like a declaration of truth.

Megan exudes great confidence as Gloria. When she raps lines like “I’m Scrooge goddamn McDuck” and “My tuna is ahi, my beef is wagyu” at breakneck speed, you believe every syllable as if it were gospel. The film wisely allows Megan to do what she’s known for—spit streaks of fire—and Gloria embodies the best part of Megan’s personality: she’s fearless, confident and proudly sexy. That’s not to say she doesn’t sell every second, and it certainly doesn’t make her any less exciting to witness; that moment where she literally stands on top of a man and sings “Put your foot on their throat / If they stand in your way” almost cements her as an important screen presence.

Even though we won Dicks: The MusicalMegan Thee Stallion had a lot to live up to by appearing on a show like Big mouth. It’s Netflix’s longest-running series, especially as one of the iconic hormone monsters. In season seven, Megan voices Megan the Hormone Monster, the cast’s latest flamboyant embodiment of horniness before puberty. She’s looking out for Danny (Zazie Beetz), who’s joining the cast this season, and her appearance is worthy of a megastar. Flying out of the huge mouth into the sky, she announces herself: “Oh, crap! The butt is thicker than a pear! Your Hormone Monster Megan is here! Megan then laughs like she’s the Silver Surfer, only for Danny to say that she knows who Megan is – which leads to the idea that Megan repeats this ridiculous stunt every time Danny needs her. This is the perfect joke to start your role with.

However, even if her character wasn’t named Megan, you’d be hard-pressed to play “guess the actor” here. Megan Thee Stallion disappears into the role, raising her register to a higher tone and adding plenty of affection worthy of a hormone monster. The first time she says “pussy” (what does she say a lot of) is a particularly delightful delivery. Her first appearance ends with her eating pasta in a pan in the pouring rain, a clear reference to a line from her iconic 2020 song “WAP” – the perfect way to celebrate her debut on the show.

Megan is a proud anime fan and clearly has a lot of respect for voice acting, and it’s abundantly clear. Big mouth. Megan is able to establish herself as an integral part of the team of hormonal monsters, with a spark of joy and energy that fits the show perfectly. At the end of episode 6, Danny thinks she might be starting to have feelings for Nick (Nick Kroll). But Megan, the Hormone Beast, explains to Danny that her attraction is purely platonic, which she explains away with a raunchy musical number.

To help Danny differentiate Nick, whom she finds funny and sweet, from Travis, whom she is sexually attracted to, Megan raps, “There they laugh, then they merge,” one of the many lines in the song that can make you choke up. “You’ll have to land with the person who will take you out.” Musical numbers have always been a highlight Big mouthand thanks to Megan Thee Stallion, the show has another certified banger.

In both Dicks: The Musical And Big mouthMegan builds on her familiar character and turns it into something new and exciting as Gloria Masters and her very own Hormone Monstress. She’s raunchy, bonkers and brilliant. You better believe this Stallion will one day power his way straight to Oscar glory.
