When it comes to fan covers that don’t necessarily have Parkwood production value, you may have seen comments joking: “We have Renaissance World Tour at Home.” But Renaissance Beyoncé World Tour house? Oh, believe me, no expense was spared on this. During her tour in Houston on September 23, Bey surprised the crowd at NRG Stadium with another hometown beauty: Megan Thee Stallion. The pair performed their remix of “Savage” together live for the first time since its 2020 release. Despite the hype surrounding Club Renaissance, perhaps no one was more excited than Meg and Beyoncé themselves. “Don’t she make you proud, Houston? She makes me proud. “I love you, queen,” Beyoncé said during their joint performance. With childish joy, Meg immediately replied: “I love you, Beyoncé! Aaaaaaaaaa!!!!”

The Hot Girl trainer shared her experience in a video blog posted to TikTok on September 26th. “Bitch, I’ll never shut up because I performed with Beyoncéeee!” she enthuses in the video’s narration. This is It’s her right to be annoyed about this – she’s nice to Beyoncé and cashes Beyoncé’s checks. Not everyone can say this. In a video of her sobbing backstage, Meg told fans the performance was serious for her: “You have no idea how many times I cried this damn weekend, like you don’t understand (that) Beyoncé is my idol.”

The Houston beauty was especially struck by the fact that “the woman who is the woman of all women” praised her performance. She’s like, “Shake that shit queen, watch that thing move, that thing spin, cousin!” I really tried to hold back and be a bad bitch because I’m still on stage, but I look at Beyonce and think: Where the hell am I?“Meghan and her late mom are huge fans,” she says in the vlog, “and she didn’t take this opportunity lightly. The weight of it all even made her succumb to an obsessive thought and tear her eyelashes off her best friend’s eyelids.

It appears that Meg turned down a headlining slot at New York’s Global Citizen festival just to do this show (organizers cited “unforeseen scheduling conflicts”). The rapper wasn’t the only celebrity to clear out her schedule. While the list of attendees didn’t necessarily compare to Bey’s star-studded birthday show in Los Angeles, her homecoming in Houston still attracted plenty of famous faces. Notably, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson were photographed in the audience, meaning five former Destiny’s Child members were in attendance that night. (Presumably the sixth one did not have any luggage ready.)
