Former Grown-Up star Mia Khalifa is facing massive anger on social media after she openly declared her support for Palestine in its ongoing war with Israel. Addressing the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Khalifa said that people who did not support Palestine were on the wrong side and history will show that in time. “If you can look at the situation in Palestine and not end up on the side of the Palestinians, then you are on the wrong side of apartheid, and history will show that in time,” she wrote.

Since she posted this message, people have been calling her “irrational” support for Palestine. “Please go to Israel and treat you the way Israeli women are now being treated by your blessed Palestinians,” the user wrote.

Another said: “I have deep sympathy for the Palestinians. A solution must be found, but it is not the solution. The more people call for peace, to stand on the side of peace and not against each other, the faster we will get there.”

A third wrote: “If you can look at the situation in Israel and still be blinded by your own religious prejudices and bigotry, then you are on the wrong side of everything.”

Tel Aviv declared a “state of war” on Saturday after Hamas launched a surprise military operation against it. Hamas fired about 5,000 rockets, declaring the operation “the greatest battle to end the last occupation on earth.” On Hamas media, senior military commander Mohammad Deif announced the start of the operation, calling on Palestinians around the world to join the fight.

In response to the aggression, the Israeli military launched Operation Iron Swords, during which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged to reduce the group’s Gaza hideouts to “ruins.” Israel on Sunday said it had killed more than 400 militants in retaliatory airstrikes in the Gaza Strip. They said the future of the war would be determined by the number of civilian and military personnel taken hostage by Hamas.
