NBA and Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan still doesn’t want his son’s relationship with his favorite teammate’s ex-wife as Marcus Jordan, 32, continues to date Larsa Pippen, 49
Michael Jordan has once again made it clear that he disapproves of his son’s relationship with Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife Larsa.
Larsa split from long-term husband Scotty two years ago, and Michael’s second son, Marcus, has been with Larsa for nearly a year now, and Michael isn’t happy with his son.
He has told the media that he disapproves of their relationship and now it’s suggested he won’t even snub their wedding.
The two are reportedly planning a wedding, and Marcus is said to be ready to propose, while Larsa has publicly said she doubts the NBA legend will show up at the wedding.
Speaking about rumors of their engagement, Larsa said: “I got 100 calls and texts – people congratulating us, and I was like, I’m so excited. But no, we’re not engaged.”
When Larsa discussed a potential wedding with Marcus on their podcast, Larsa discussed them getting married on a reality TV show. She said: “Do you think you’re going to have a wedding on a reality show? I don’t think your parents are going to come.”
Last month, Michael was asked by paparazzi as he left a Paris restaurant if he approved of his son’s romance. Jordan initially shook his head in response, but when pressed again, he doubled down and yelled, “No!”
Speaking about his father since the beginning of his relationship with Larsa, Marcus said: “His goal has always been to stay away from our relationship. Listen, the root of this is my dad’s relationship with your ex, Scotty .
“Obviously, we never talked about it and I don’t think my dad wanted to comment on it. There was always this talk, the rumor that I was dating you in some way in retaliation for what was said.
“One of the things (Jordan) also said is you don’t need my approval in your personal life, implying that’s something we can say for us. But I feel like if we come out and say that, then we look defiant. And aggressive.” Forget about other people, we just do our thing. “
Larsa was married to Jordan’s favorite NBA teammate, Scotty, for 24 years and remained close friends with Michael and his wife for two decades.
However, Michael and Scottie apparently haven’t spoken since ESPN’s The Last Dance aired, with the two expressing some words for each other during a Chicago Bulls game (where they won six NBA championships together) dissatisfied.
