Mann was accompanied by his wife Summer.

The mayor, along with regional cultural adviser Mauro Felicori, emphasized that the film conveys “the sounds of our territory, the sound of the heart and engines.” And Muzzarelli recalled how the story, set in 1957, is about “the desire to redeem a land that wanted to conquer again: I rediscovered that passion in the film.”

Thanking the help received from the institutions and cities involved in the filming, Michael Mann, a director known for such works as The Heat Challenge, The Last of the Mohicans and The Pledge, traced the experience gained in Modena: “A beautiful city , I understood why people don’t leave it like a Ferrari, or when they leave, they come back.” And he said he was touched and moved by the spirit of the people who, during filming, expressed their appreciation for the decision to dedicate the film to Enzo Ferrari.

The film, presented in recent days in Venice at the 80th Venice Film Festival, will hit theaters around the end of the year and has starred Adam Driver, Patrick Dempsey, Penélope Cruz, Hugh Jackman, among others.
