Michelle’s appearance comes after news that Brassic will reportedly “be sacked after the next series” as the cast looks to leave the Sky comedy to work on other projects.

The show, in which Michelle plays Erin Croft, launched its fifth season last week and will air a special episode in December.

But a new report has revealed the show is “unlikely” to return after next year as producers work on a sixth and final installment.

A Sky insider told The Mirror: “Brassic is unlikely to return after series six next year. It was an incredible success, but some actors think it’s time to move on.

“Ryan considered leaving after the fifth series, but Sky bosses persuaded him to continue. “Michelle is also finding it increasingly difficult to manage her filming schedule as she is in demand for so many projects.”

However, a Sky spokesperson denied the show would end after series six, telling MailOnline: “Brassic has not been cancelled. The show remains one of Sky’s best original comedies. With a very successful fifth series released just last week, it is a firm favorite among our customers.

The original comedy Brassic follows Vinnie O’Neal (Joseph Gilgun) and his five friends, including single mother Michelle.

The group struggles to survive in the fictional town of Hawley and often resort to petty crime for money.
