Miley Cyrus teases her upcoming single “Used To Be Young” by sharing emotional lyrics she wrote at a time when she was “feeling misunderstood”.
On Tuesday (August 22), the “Flowers” singer took to her Instagram to show fans her single set due out Friday (August 25), allowing them to see the lyrics she wrote “almost 2 years ago at the beginning of the album” . my (Endless summer holidays)”
“For the past 18 months, I have been painting a sound picture of my point of view to share with you,” she said. “It’s time to release a song that I could perfect forever. Although my work is completed, this song will continue to be written every day. The fact that it remains unfinished is part of its beauty. This is my life at the moment. …. unfinished, but completed.”
In the lyrics, Cyrus reflects on how she’s changed since she was younger, writing, “The truth is bulletproof, you can’t be fooled… I don’t dress the same / I’m + who you say I was yesterday / Gone are our parted ways / Somewhere quickly left his life / In the past, the reason for chasing cars / It turns out that open bars lead to / Broken hearts + go too far.
