The belt is inspired by the 2004 Danish film Brødre by Susanne Bier, which was once inspired by Homer’s epic poem The Odyssey. For his role in the film, Tobey Maguire was nominated for a Golden Globe.

Jim Sheridan’s film was shot in various locations in New Mexico (USA).
