When Michael Jordan and Michael Jackson switched roles
In 1992, Michael Jackson featured NBA star Michael Jordan on his song “Jam,” which now has nearly 90 million views on Michael Jackson’s YouTube channel Times watched. Twitter account Historic Vids shared a video in which the two idols exchanged their skills.
The two legends played each other’s roles, with the Moonwalker teaching Air Jordan his dance moves and Jordan imparting some basketball wisdom.
In an interview with Rock Celebrities, Jordan revealed that he was initially reluctant to make the video because he was worried about being embarrassed while dancing. “I don’t know if I would want to do that because this guy would be trying to get me to go out dancing.”
Eventually, he changed his mind and said, “Okay, okay, that’s Michael Jackson. When are you going to get a chance to get to know him socially a little bit and also take a video of him?” Jordan added, “So I changed my mind and went ahead and did it.” Jackson and Jordan were both the best in the game.
