Nicki Minaj’s neighbors want her to move out because her husband is a sex offender
Nicki Minaj is at the center of a petition launched by her neighbors, who want the rapper to move out of their Hidden Hills mansion because of safety concerns related to her husband’s sex offender status.
Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty bought the $19.5 million home in December, prompting Beverly Barden residents to take action and start a Change.org petition titled: “Say No to Sex Offenders in Hidden Hills.”
Kenneth is currently serving one year of home detention for failing to register as a sex offender in California And according to the petition, there is a “high likelihood” of recidivism and that its mere presence in the neighborhood will reduce home values.

Nicki Minaj’s husband was convicted of attempted first-degree rape in 1995 when she was 16. He spent more than four years in prison for the offense and, as a condition of his release, must register as a sex offender wherever he goes.
In March 2020, he was arrested for failing to register as a sex offender in the state of California. Last July, a judge sentenced him to three years’ probation and one year of home detention. He was also ordered to pay a fine of $55,000.
