Nicole Kidman is set to shine at SXSW in Sydney

Nicole Kidman is set to return home to Australia next week ahead of her appearance at SXSW in Sydney later this year.

At the festival, which will take place from October 15 to 22, the actress and her partner Per Saari will discuss the achievements of their production company.

Kidman and Saari’s presentation is scheduled for October 19.

From their first project, Rabbit Hole, in 2010, to the acclaimed Big Little Lies and Lulu Wang’s highly anticipated series, The Expats, the duo will be sharing their experiences from page to screen.

Another highlight will be the session entitled “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”, scheduled for October 16th.

In this discussion, actors Jason Clarke and Charmaine Bingwa will come together to shed light on their experiences at the heart of the film industry.

This year’s SXSW Sydney will also feature the previously announced Next Generation Black Storytellers screening.

In this enriching dialogue, Indigenous storytellers Leah Purcell, Cody Bedford and Jab Clerk, led by host Brooke Boney, will focus on contemporary Black stories and their representation in contemporary media.

During the eight-day event, American singer Chance the Rapper will talk about the enormous influence of hip-hop.

Elsewhere, Heartbreak High’s Chloe Hayden will perform, as will Lincoln Younes and Grace Tame.

Other speakers include Coachella CEO Paul Tollett, Queer Eye star Tan France, Layne Beachley and The Masked Singer host Osher Gunsberg.
