He’s an excellent rim protector in terms of positioning and timing, and his playmaking skills and insane shooting ability make him a threat on the court. The 21-year-old star is averaging 17.6 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game, which are impressive numbers for a rookie.

While most rookies take time to make it to the major leagues, Chet has put up stellar numbers and he’s been especially effective offensively, scoring at all three levels and boasting top-notch defensive metrics. The most impressive thing about Chet is that he’s already catching up to Michael Jordan’s rookie year BPM.

Chet told reporters that he hasn’t proven anything yet and that he still has a long way to go. “I’ve played 30 games.There is still a long way to go in this regard” said the rookie. He could serve well as a complement to a star player like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, but should not be mistaken for just a helper. Chet has his own rhythm, and will do the same without SGA outstanding.

In addition to being incredibly valuable, versatile, and expandable around a host of superstars, Chet has proven himself to be an extremely easy player to be around and work with because of his energetic nature. If he maintains this consistency, it’s not hard to imagine his name being mentioned in All-Star contention.
