‘Rick and Morty’ Season 7 Trailer Features New Voice Actors

Season 7 Rick and Morty will be the first since Adult Swim ended its working relationship with show co-creator Justin Roiland after it was revealed he was charged with domestic violence stemming from a 2020 incident between Roiland and a woman he was dating at the time. This also means that this will be the first season to feature new voices for Rick and Morty, who were previously voiced by Roiland himself. (Charges against Roiland were dropped in March 2023 due to lack of evidence.)

Interestingly, Adult Swim hasn’t announced who will replace Roiland as the voices of Rick and Morty – but they have has released the first trailer for the show’s seventh season, featuring new voices in action. You can hear them for yourself below…

For the most part, Rick and Morty does sound like Rick and Morty, and of course there is a long history of using sound-like characters in animation when the original voices of a character die, leave, or leave the show for one reason or another. I think most fans will mostly stay with the show or stop watching if it passes a simple test: Is it still funny?

Here’s the official description of the new season:

Rick and Morty are back and more like themselves than ever! It’s season seven and the possibilities are endless: What happened to Jerry? EVIL Summer?! And will they ever return to high school?! Probably no! But let’s find out! There’s probably less urine there than last season. “Rick and Morty” is 100 years old! Or at least until season 10!

Rick and Morty Season 7 premieres on Adult Swim on Sunday, October 15th at 11:00 pm ET.

TV series that should have ended after one season

These shows have had incredible first seasons followed by disappointing ones. Maybe they should have ended after one season in the first place?
