Serena Williams and Kim Kardashian are friends. So let me start with this. Because if you didn’t know they were friends and saw Serena Williams blasting Kim Kardashian for her lack of tennis skills on social media, you might think Serena doesn’t like Kim. But still.
In fact, many of us tennis players will never achieve anything other than winning the city’s men’s B singles title two years in a row (my greatest sporting achievement, by the way) for all the money they spend on racket grip. More time than we should have. But honestly, doesn’t it have to be right? Grip strength is important and anyone who sees us holding our racquet will feel embarrassed.
But Kim Kardashian wasn’t embarrassed in a photo she posted on Instagram, where she’s wearing a pink dress and holding a racket on a tennis court, walking towards the net with her back to us. She shouldn’t be like this either. She wasn’t playing tennis at the time. At least, I don’t think she is.

But Serena Williams noticed the post and responded: “That’s not at all how you hold a racquet. “I gotta teach you a lesson lol. Of course, Serena Williams is right, because the way Kardashian holds her racquet is something you wouldn’t teach a young tennis player. Like, ever.
Serena Williams also has young children. But she and her husband, Alexis Ohanian, have apparently taught their six-year-old Olympia the proper way to hold a racquet. In Ohanian’s postOlympia looks ready to challenge her mother’s 23 Grand Slams. Of course, this cannot be ruled out.
Of course, if Serena and Kim Kardashian were to have a one-on-one match, I’m sure millions of people would be watching. Just a thought, WTA. You know, if you need it.
