Serena Williams will be inducted into the National Women’s Hall of Fame in 2024 as part of Women’s History Month next March.
Williams competed at the top of the WTA for two decades and is considered one of the greatest players in tennis. During her esteemed career, Williams won 23 Grand Slams – a women’s record in the Open era – and between 1995 and 2023, she notched 73 tournament victories.
The former WTA No. 1 concluded her star-studded career at the 2022 U.S. Open. In recognition of her achievements in elite sport, Williams will be inducted into the National Women’s Hall of Fame in 2024, along with some of the most influential women in history.

The National Women’s Hall of Fame said in a statement
In addition to her accomplishments on the court, Williams has inspired a generation of young female tennis players, including 2023 U.S. Open champion Coco Gauff, and has had multiple ventures outside of tennis.
Serena has been involved in a number of business ventures in recent years, including investing in Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s golf league and founding multimedia company 926 Productions.
Additionally, the former American player has been outspoken about gender equality in tennis and has taken an active role in efforts to improve playing conditions and support.
In honor of the inductees, Hall of Fame CEO Jennifer Gabriel praised the work of Williams and other icons.
