Tennis royalty brought style and glamor to the opening night at Casadonna – a coastal Italian-style restaurant in Miami, Florida.
Current and former WTA No. 1 players were in attendance. Florida-based Aryna Sabalenka with 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams and one-time Grand Slam winner Caroline Wozniacki (Caroline Wozniacki) A dazzling evening was spent together, with celebrities from the worlds of fashion, sports and film in attendance.
Casadonna is the brainchild of David Grutman and Noah Tepperberg, two luminaries in the restaurant and nightclub industry who agreed to collaborate to serve Riviera-style Italian cuisine in a majestic setting overlooking Biscayne Bay.
This gorgeous restaurant occupies 20,000 square meters of beautiful surroundings, beautiful architecture and an original bar. Its menu is influenced by dishes from the Italian coastal towns of Naples and Positano.
Sabalenka, Serena and Wozniacki then posed for a photo with Casa Dona co-owner David Grutman, who the current WTA No. 1 shared on her Instagram account Photo, with the caption: What a wonderful night. Just a few days ago, the Belarusian had a batting session with Grutman on the tennis court.
Sabalenka is currently preparing for another tournament this season, the WTA Finals which will start on October 29. The 25-year-old is the WTA’s number one player but faces a battle for the top spot this year, with Iga Swiatek ready to pounce.
Sabalenka and Swiatek won’t meet before the semifinals, which only adds to the intrigue. As for Wozniacki, she returned in early August and memorably reached the fourth round of the 2023 US Open.
The Dane has since ended her season with the intention of returning to the Tour in 2024 and has signed up for the ASB Classic in Auckland, where she will sum up her journey on her second visit. For Serena Williams, tennis no longer dominates her schedule since retiring last year to focus on her business ventures and raising her children.
