“It’s incredibly challenging to be in a band for over 20 years, moving forward, staying relevant and dealing with all the challenges that come up,” he says. Pierre Bouvier, frontman – This is the furthest thing from a “simple plan”: it is indeed much more complicated than it seems. Over the course of our career, it took us some time to become mature enough to realize that our sound is an asset, not a drawback. On this album, we said to ourselves: “Let’s accept ourselves for who we are and not be afraid to do what we do best.” Making a good Simple Plan entry is just as difficult as making something different from the usual.
