The World Food Program has revealed the truth about what was promoted by Muslim Brotherhood websites and platforms about Egypt sending spoiled biscuits as part of the aid provided to Gaza.
The group’s websites and platforms had promoted a fake video about a humanitarian truck from Egypt overturning and Palestinian citizens discovering spoiled and expired biscuits inside, adding that the biscuits will expire this month and some of them they will be unusable.

In an official statement, the World Food Program confirmed that the biscuits provided to Gazans belong to the programme, and can be consumed in the weeks indicated on the packaging, until the beginning of next month, when they will be consumed as soon as they are distributed before that date.
The program confirmed that these biscuits are particularly suitable for emergency situations, as Palestinian families require intensive and rapid nutrition due to the inability to cook due to lack of fuel.
On Saturday, the Rafah crossing saw new convoys of humanitarian trucks cross into the Gaza Strip, totaling around 50 convoys.

According to statistics, the volume of humanitarian and medical aid arriving in the Gaza Strip reached 7,000 tons, of which about 5,000 tons of aid was provided by Egyptian institutions and civil organizations, while 72 planes arrived in Al-Arish coming from 17 Arab and foreign countries. The airport has so far transported aid worth 200 tonnes.
On Saturday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received Cindy McCain, executive director of the World Food Programme.

The official spokesperson of the Egyptian presidency said that President Sisi expressed to McCain Egypt’s deep concern over the continued deterioration of humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, reviewing the intensive efforts that Egypt is making around the clock to ensure the entry of the maximum possible amount of aid, so as to meet the real needs of the population of the Gaza Strip, while continuing Egyptian cooperation efforts with various regional and international entities to push for an immediate ceasefire.
