Stella McCartney launched the long-awaited winter campaign 2023with famous model Kendall Jenner is the face of the collection. Taken Harley Weir in the salt flats of the Camargue, France, the countryside captures the soul of a new generation rider, wrapped in the region’s famous white ponies provided by an equine expert Jean Francois Pignon. Subject “Horsepower” Winter 2023 pervades all elements of the collection and the vision of the advertising campaign, originally presented during Paris Fashion Week at the Manège de L’Ecole Militaire. It talks about the transformative bonds between humans and horses through the lens of Stella’s personal and family relationships, art and history and comes to our days.

It’s no secret to anyone that Kendall Jenner is a fair lover of horses. “I have always loved animals. I’ve been riding for 10 yearsso I thought about becoming a professional equestrian and then a veterinarian,” she told Harper’s Bazaar in 2016. Destiny, of course, had other plans for the second youngest daughter of the Kar-Jenner clan, and so she ended up in the riding industry. Now she combines her two passions – the world of fashion and horses – for Stella McCartney.

The harmony between Kendall Jenner and Piñon’s pony reflects the equestrian essence of the collection.with rope details inspired by bridle reins, patchwork quilts that reinterpret horse blankets, and Appaloosa jacquards, nodding to the American breed bred by Stella’s family. Unique therapeutic connections between humans and horses they will be further explored in the second phase of the campaign this fall.
