Bucks star Damian Lillard joins LeBron James and Stephen Curry on the list of best players that also includes Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic, Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic and Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant. With the exception of Doncic, all of these players are NBA champions, and each of them will likely end their careers as one of the greatest players of all time.
But Lillard himself is not sloppy. The one thing missing from his career is a championship ring, and he has a chance to compete for one with Giannis Antetokounmpo for the Bucks.
This season, Lillard averaged 24.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.1 steals per game, shooting 40.2% from the field, 32.5% from the three-point line, and 92.4% from the free throw line.
Lillard is in his first season with the Bucks following a preseason trade with the Portland Trail Blazers. The seven-time All-Star spent the first 11 seasons of his career with the Trail Blazers.
