Taylor Swift forgets lyrics to ‘Last Kiss’ during concert

Taylor Swift had trouble remembering the lyrics to her songs during her Eras Tour stop in Kansas City on Saturday night. During the acoustic portion of his concert at Arrowhead Stadium’s Geha Field. The 33-year-old pop star laughed out loud and forgot the lyrics to her 2010 song featured in Speak Now, Last Kiss. After effortlessly singing the first two lines of the opening verse, Taylor Swift casually skipped into the “ninth of July” part of the second verse before stopping to reveal her mistake to everyone.

“Oh my God, the lyrics… We have this rule on this tour that if I mess up a song, I have to play it again to fix it,” Taylor Swift explained to the crowd. “I got too excited, I got too excited. Will you do me the honor of starting again?” The pop star then started the song again, going through the first three bars without a hitch before stopping again to think about it.

“MY GOD! No, those are not the words,” Thay said, repeating the first lines. “I swear I won’t make any more mistakes! MY GOD! I like this. Why am I doing this with this song?”– Taylor Swift joked. The third time was successful and the singer continued without further interruption.

Before running Last KissTaylor Swift recalled how important a role she played in the song. “I don’t know if you noticed today’s date, but it’s July 8th,” he said. “Soon it will be July 9th. You know what time it is, Kansas City. It’s time to play Last Kiss and cry”.

Last Kiss peaked at number 71 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2010. In the prologue included on the vinyl edition of the album, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)LIn the new re-recorded version of her third album, released Friday, Taylor Swift called it “the saddest song I’ve ever written.”
