James Gunn AND Peter Safran, two co-presidents/co-CEOs of DC Studios, are looking for an actor to play the Dark Knight. Something in between the versions in which I played Robert Pattison AND Ben Affleck.
The Brave and the Bold should show a different Batman that audiences have seen on the big screen in recent years.
Batman From Matt Reeve and films about snyder Both with Ben Affleck feature the world’s greatest detectives, but mostly go it alone. The same goes for the trilogy. Christopher Nolan with Christian Bale. However, James Gunn’s Batman will see a return Batman’s sidekick, Robin. The Brave and the Bold will follow Bruce Wayne and his son Damien as they fight crime together. It is not yet clear if the film will continue the plot of the comic book of the same name. Or if it would be something like Age of Ultronwhere the only similarity was in the name.
James Gunn also talked about what inspired him to make the film. “The film will be based on a comic book series by Grant Morrison where we meet one of my favorite Batmans. And we’re picking it up right now.”
Morrison introduced the character Damian Wayne, son of Bruce Wayne by Talia Al’Ghul. Damian is the fifth character to take on the mantle of Robin. Previous Robins have included Dick Grayson, Jason Todd and Tim Drake. It’s still unclear who will be playing him, but fans are excited about the inclusion of this member of the Batman family in Gunn’s cinematic universe.
Who will be James Gunn’s Batman?
Gunn is trying to create a real continuity in his universe, both thematically and storywise. A series of materials to be distributed over the next decade. This means that the chosen actor must be young enough to play the hero of that time period, yet have the age and wisdom to portray an experienced Batman.
There are already several names that will delight fans. jensen (supernatural and boys) Alan Ritchson (reaching) AND Nikolai Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones).
Batman: The Brave and the Bold It was originally scheduled to be released in 2025, but due to strikes by writers and actors, this date may be pushed back. Meanwhile, at least the director was approved.
