New list of copyrights for Darkhold Diaries became a treasure trove of new information for fans.
First, it’s been revealed that Marvel Studios is targeting a release date of around September 19, 2024, although fans should assume that’s likely to change at this point. The same listing reveals that Aubrey Plaza is playing a character named Rio Vidal.
But fans are still wondering what exactly Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha will be up to since she was last seen when Wanda practically imprisoned her in Westview with a spell at the end. WandaVision.
New details revealed about The Darkhold Diaries
New details of the first episode of the series have been revealed. WandaVisionspin-off in Marvel Studios’ new copyright listing Agatha: The Darkhold Diaries.
The listing showed that “Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) will finally break free of (Wanda’s spell)” although she will quickly discover that she “powerless:”
“In the first episode, we see Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) finally break free from the spell she’s been under. She can’t wait to return to her old murderous ways, only to find that she is powerless. The only way for her to go is to embark on a dangerous quest to regain her powers with the help of one or two unlikely friends.”
What else will Agatha’s story include?
Despite this new information, the plot Agatha: The Darkhold Diaries still remains a mystery.
Another plot point that’s all but confirmed is that the series will introduce a reincarnated Billy Maximoff, played by Joe Locke, although Marvel Studios has yet to officially announce that specific point. Billy is also known by the superhero alias Wiccan, who was actually teased in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Another notable character joining the battle will be Jennifer Kale (Sashir Samata), a powerful sorceress who in the comics also has a connection to Werewolf at nightMan-Thing.
Also no less than eight characters from WandaVision will return for the spin-off. This includes Herb/John Collins, Phil Jones, Abilash Tandon, Postman Dennis, the Sheriff, Evanora Harkness, Dottie/Sarah and Mrs. Hart/Sharon Davis.
Agatha: The Darkhold Diaries it is currently expected to release on Disney+ around September 2024.
