If you thought fashion month was over, you hadn’t counted on late shows: this is the case with Versacewhich presented its FW23 in LA.
On the eve of Oscar Night 2023, Donatella Versace unveiled her collections Versace for women and men Fall/Winter 2023 in a parade on the roof of the Pacific Design Center parking lot, with a view of the Los Angeles skyline.
The supermodel Naomi Campbell walked the runway alongside an exceptional cast of supermodels including Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Emily Ratajkowski And Irina Shaykwhile the Hollywood crowd of over 500 guests included Miley Cyrus, Cher, Elton John, Demi Moore with daughter Rumer Willis, Jeff Bezos with Lauren Sanchez, Ariana DeBose, Lily James, Dua Lipa, Lil Nas X and Allison Williams .
The inspiration comes directly from glamorous force that the approaching night of the Oscars gives celebrities a power that has its roots in the Golden Age and blends with the contemporary attitude.
This collection starts from the understanding and appreciation of the body that we have always had in the heart of Versace. We applied the lessons learned in the Atelier to prêt-à-porter: construction, tailoring, the beauty of fabrics. This is a celebration of our skilled craftsmanship and understanding of true luxury.

The collection was a sumptuous return to theelegancefeaturing five unique outfits from Haute Couture, made in shades of navy blue and black, with marked waist and shoulders, to give structure to the look without losing sight of the timeless femininity of Versace. An uncompromising work of any kind with the extravagance observed on the latest catwalks, not to diminish the fabrics chosen: bouclé wool, double duchesse silk, and cashmere.
A “power dressing” different from that expressed by Saint Laurent, but with timeless shapes that make you feel safe and strong, as well as extremely beautiful, as declared by the hostess. Dresses with folded structural busts, wavy necklines, and a tailoring that recalls the end of the last century, enhancing the hourglass shape. There was also room for shades of pink and orange that embellished short-cut dresses, made of silk and combined with long, gaudy gloves.
The brand has also articulated a dense offer of denim trousers and jackets for more casual options, combining it with crocodile leather suits ideal for the most elegant evenings, blazers in earthy colors with wide lapels and dresses with floral prints.
