As Elle reported during the couple’s Facebook watch series, The Biebers on the Watch, Hailey decided to talk about people constantly comparing her to Justin Bieber’s ex-girlfriends. This came up when a fan asked her a question related to it.
The question was how the Biebers manage to be a couple when everyone feels like they have a say in their relationship. To which the Baby hitmaker responded: “Oh, that’s good for you.”
The Rhode founder then responded to the question and said, “Let me start by saying that I have a lot more to say on this particular issue, on this topic. It definitely wasn’t easy. “Justin understands that I’ve had a really, really hard time dealing with a lot of the things that people say and a lot of the feelings that I have where people compare me and just make me feel like less of a woman.”
The model then talked about how difficult it is to deal with other people’s opinions and revealed that she believes that at times people online tend to make others feel inferior. She then added that it could be because of what people online have gone through in life and helped them in some way.
She went on to express her views and shed light on how to keep yourself sane. She said, “The truth doesn’t make it any easier, but I try to remind myself, ‘This person is only making me feel this way because they’re going through something.’ themselves.’ I’ve talked about this a lot, and I’ve talked about how… I think I’ve reached the point where people will say whatever they want. They think they know what happened in his life and his relationship, and they think they know what happened between us and our relationship, and how we got here, and they just can’t do it. They fabricate facts that they think are true but aren’t, and I got to the point where I thought, “Why am I even going to go out of my way to clear things up when it’s really no one’s business?” ? and it doesn’t matter? …People don’t realize how much goes on behind the scenes.”
