Tom Brady joked that his family “would kill him” if he ever returned to the NFL.
“I’m not coming back,” the former quarterback said on Monday’s “Let’s Go!” podcast.
“My parents are going to call, my kids are going to call. They’re going to kill me. “I won’t be there tonight. “
Brady dismissed the possibility after guest Mr. Beast said his podcast’s ratings would “take off” if the Super Bowl champion announced his return to football.
However, co-host Jim Gray noted that the athlete “has already done this once” when he returned to play one season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in February 2022, shortly after announcing his retirement.
“Like I said, you only get one chance to not retire. I’m done with it,” Brady interjected.
The 46-year-old NFL star officially left professional football in February, a year after his high-profile return to the game allegedly sparked his split from Gisele Bündchen.
At the time, an insider explained: “The marriage was in trouble due to his decision not to retire. Gisele was always spending time with the children.
“They originally agreed that he would retire and focus on his family, but he later changed his mind.”

The former couple, who have daughter Vivian, 10, and son Benjamin, 13, finalized their divorce in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage.
At the time, the 43-year-old Brazilian supermodel revealed that she and Brady had “drifted apart.”
Just a month ago, Bundchen recalled asking Brady “over and over again” to “be more there” for his family during his football career.
“I’ve done my job, which is to be there for (my husband),” she told Elle magazine in September 2022. “I moved to Boston and I focused on creating a cocoon and a loving environment for my kids to grow up in and be there to support him and his dreams.
“To see my kids succeed and become beautiful little humans, to see him succeed and be fulfilled in his career — that makes me happy,” she continued.
The issues appear to date back years ago, when Brady told Howard Stern in 2020 that Bundchen wasn’t satisfied with his effort at home.
“(She) felt I wasn’t doing my job,” he explained. “She felt I would play football all season and she would take care of the house. “She was not happy in our marriage. “
After the divorce, the two have maintained a friendly co-parenting relationship while dividing time with their two children. The retired athlete also has 16-year-old son Jack with ex-boyfriend Bridget Moynahan.
