Tom Brady TV Show ‘Patriot Road’ Included in ‘The Fighter’ Writer’s Notes – Deadline

exclusive: We all thought NFL legend Tom Brady had retired for good, and now an Oscar-nominated screenwriting duo is continuing his legacy.

“The New England Patriots dominated professional sports for 20 years,” Tamasi and Johnson said. “Our series will take viewers inside Gillette Stadium, also known as Fortress Foxboro, to gain a new perspective on exciting, historic comeback victories; successful The dark side; and building a culture of winning at all costs.”

The filmmaking team said they will not seek any image rights to depict Brady or the Patriots because the NFL great and his former colleagues are public figures: “This gives us the freedom to tell the story without filter,” they said. Brady himself was not involved in the series.
