exclusive: We all thought NFL legend Tom Brady had retired for good, and now an Oscar-nominated screenwriting duo is continuing his legacy.
Written by Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson Fighter – A film about a lesser-known Boston-area athlete – in production Patriot’s Way, A scripted limited series about the GOAT quarterback and his dominance of the New England Patriots is in development.The pair are adapting Casey Sherman and Dave Wedge’s 2018 bestseller 12: The inside story of Tom Brady’s fight for redemption.
Patriot’s Way Documenting Brady’s incredible journey from sixth-round NFL draft pick to six Super Bowl wins with the Patriots, Aaron Hernandez, the Spygate and Deflategate scandals, and Brady’s relationship with head coach Beal ·Belichick’s battle of wills.
Maze RunnerGotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein will serve as producer.

“The New England Patriots dominated professional sports for 20 years,” Tamasi and Johnson said. “Our series will take viewers inside Gillette Stadium, also known as Fortress Foxboro, to gain a new perspective on exciting, historic comeback victories; successful The dark side; and building a culture of winning at all costs.”

Patriot’s Way This will mark the third collaboration between screenwriters and writers Sherman and Wedge.They worked together to adapt Sherman’s book best timebecame a 2016 Disney film starring Chris Pine, Sherman and Wedge Boston strong team, Tamasy and Johnson adapted it into a 2016 production patriots day, Starring Mark Wahlberg and directed by Peter Berg.
“As reporters, we had a front-row seat to all the incredible drama that happened before and after the New England Patriots won their first Super Bowl (in 2001),” Sherman and Wedge added. “This is a rich, character-driven story that may not be replicated in our lifetimes.”

The filmmaking team said they will not seek any image rights to depict Brady or the Patriots because the NFL great and his former colleagues are public figures: “This gives us the freedom to tell the story without filter,” they said. Brady himself was not involved in the series.
