Travis Scott will bring his Utopia#1 on the Billboard 200, touring North America this fall and winter., as Live Nation announced yesterday. Travis Scott’s 28-show tour kicks off October 11 at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte and travels to major US cities. Includes Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago and New York, which will end on December 29 at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. The Utopia – Circus Maximus tour will also include Scott’s biggest ever show at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on November 5th.
Despite Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner’s announcement earlier this month of Travis Scott’s return to his hometown, the Utopia – Circus Maximus Tour currently has no scheduled dates in Houston. Houston Police Union President Douglas Griffith stated that October 19 and November 20 “were the estimated return dates.” If Travis Scott returned to Houston with his tour, it would be the first performance since the tragedy at the Astroworld festival in November 2021. When 10 people died and hundreds were injured during a deadly stampede.
On release day UtopiaOn July 28, the Houston police released a nearly 1,300-page report detailing the investigation into the tragedy. The lawsuit comes just a month after a Houston grand jury refused to bring criminal charges against Travis Scott and other Astroworld organizers over the fatal crash. Since the events of November 5, 2021, more than 400 civil lawsuits have been filed by thousands of alleged victims against Scott, Live Nation and others at the festival.
A portion of the proceeds from the Travis Scott tour will go to charity.
Tickets for the Travis Scott Tour go on sale Thursday, August 31st at 10am on travisscott.com. Live Nation has announced that $2 for each ticket sold will be donated to the rapper’s Cactus Jack Foundation. A non-profit organization whose mission is to support the youth of Houston by collecting toys. As well as scholarship programs for HBCU students and spending on education and creativity.
Travis Scott’s latest album has spent the last four weeks at the top of the Billboard 200, becoming his third number. 1st place in the ranking and first solo album after Astroworld 2018. It’s also the first rap album to go to zero for the first four weeks. #1 on the Billboard 200 for five years, out of scorpion from Drake.
Travis Scott introduces himself for the first time Utopia in Italy on August 7th with special guest Kanye West.in front of 60,000 spectators at the Circus Maximus in Rome.
The concert will take place after the cancellation of his concert at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, originally scheduled for July 28.. CNN reported that 60 people were injured at Scott’s concert in Italy.
