Travis Scott has spoken about the MCU’s Phase 5 film, for which he wants to collaborate with Marvel Studios on the soundtrack.

Travis Scott wants to work on MCU Blade reboot
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the rap sensation Travis Scott spoke about his hopes of collaborating with Marvel Studios on the soundtrack for the upcoming film.
Scott teased how he “I’d like to do it” soundtrack to Blades – starring Mahershala Ali, which will hit theaters in February 2025.:
“I woke up thinking I’d like to write the Blade soundtrack.”
The hip-hop artist previously collaborated with Marvel Studios on an album. Black Panther how he contributed to the track “Big Shot” with soundtrack curator Kendrick Lamar.

Blades the release date is currently set for February 14, 2025, although Yann Demange’s blockbuster has already been delayed several times. Before the Hollywood strikes, the film had a screenwriter change and pre-production was halted, leading to the latest release date shift.
Will Travis Scott’s Blade hopes come true?
Travis Scott found himself in major controversy in 2021 after his Astroworld music festival in Texas resulted in hundreds of injuries and several deaths. The lawsuit filed against the artist – via People – claims Scott suggested “express encouragement of violence” which led to the tragedy.
But this controversy shouldn’t be enough to hurt Scott’s chances of reuniting with Marvel Studios to score another film. He previously worked with Lamar on a track for Black Pantherthe artist already has some connection to the studio and hopefully the influence of the music industry will help make that dream a reality.
If Scott had partnered with MCU Phase 5 for Bladesthe artist will likely have to, like Lamar, assemble a tight-knit team of singers, rappers and producers to bring the album to life by 2025.
Just released his new album UTOPIA Four years after debuting his latest project, Scott certainly needs more time on his hands to tackle a venture like scoring an MCU film. Blades reboot.
It should be noted that Marvel Studios certainly doesn’t hand out these massive original star-studded soundtracks generously. Black Panther the franchise currently only receives one to date. Nose Blades Being another major film with a black cast, it may have a chance to receive the same treatment.
But, alas, for now, Scott’s hopes of working on Blades I hope the soundtrack stays that way. Only time will tell if anything comes of this, but either way, fans shouldn’t expect news on the matter for a while.
