“It Takes Two to Get Close” and the cast Trolls unite Put the sweet feeling of friendship into song with the latest track from the upcoming installment of the hit movie franchise.
In the song, Camila Cabello’s character Viva and Anna Kendrick’s Poppy exchange verses about finding that special someone. “I didn’t know until I found you / Having the time of our lives / It takes two / When I look up, the stars are brighter / Now I know everything is better with you,” they sing on the chorus.
Justin Timberlake, Eric Andre, Daveed Diggs and Kid Cudi join the bridge line, chanting, “Now that we got it all together / Now we’re together / We got it all.”
“It Takes Two” follows the previously released Trolls unite *NSYNC’s track “Better Place”, which became the first music release from the iconic boy band since 2002 (when the Neptunes remix of “Girlfriend” featuring Nelly was released). Accordingly, Timberlake returns as executive music producer of the film’s soundtrack along with producer and songwriter Mike Elizondo.
The film, out November 17, promises the standard mix of pop classics performed by all your favorites, plus new cast members including Cabello, Zosia Mamet (Crimp) and RuPaul (Miss Maxine). The returning cast includes Zooey Deschanel (Bridget), Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Gristle), Icona Pop (Satin and Chenille), Anderson .Paak (Prince D), Ron Funches (Cooper), Kunal Nayyar (Guy Diamond) and Kenan Thompson (“Little Diamond”)
