Tupac Shakur attacks Michael Jordan with ‘bad role model’ label, slams HoF with harsh words

In 1992, Michael Jordan was at the top of the basketball world. People respected him and he was considered a role model by many. Meanwhile, another man rising in the indie scene was Tupac Shakur. Tupac was different from traditional mainstream celebrities. He is outspoken and opinionated.

No matter where he reached in life, Tupac always stayed true to his roots. He gives back to society and uses his lyrics as a medium to share his dissatisfaction with society with the world.But back in 1992, Tupac wasn’t satisfied his magnanimity Because it’s not doing the same thing on its own platform.

Michael Jordan didn’t do enough

Tupac Shakur didn’t have anything good to say about Michael Jordan during a 1992 interview. Tupac always stood up for what he believed was right. He was often outspoken about how he felt about everything to the community.

Tupac said: “Do you know Michael Jordan? I’ve never seen Michael Jordan in the “hood.” Let’s watch Jordan come downtown, just to a parking lot, and shoot hoops with the kids. I bet this will change their lives.“

In 1992, Jordan was at his peak. People all over the world know who he is. Tupac wanted the Chicago Bulls legend to be a part of the community where he grew up. This can help elevate the status of younger children who look up to him. Jordan is considered a role model by many due to his iconic status.

But Jordan revealed in his “The Last Dance” documentary that he never wanted to become an icon. He said this is the one thing he would change about himself if he could go back in time. Jordan believes that being a role model for someone is a burden that puts a lot of pressure on himself.

Tupac met Jordan and Magic in 1996

In 1996, “Magic” Johnson returned to the NBA for his last season in the league. Therefore, a game between “Magic” Johnson and Michael Jordan is highly anticipated by fans. Tupac, who had never seen an NBA game before, appeared with Suge Knight and witnessed the battle between the two teams.

Tupac was killed a few months later. Tupac’s comments about Jordan have always had a negative tone. He basically accused Jordan of not paying much attention to the black community. Jordan has gone out of his way to give back to the community over the years.

He donated his entire salary to the victims and families of the 9/11 tragedy. He also spent millions of dollars on the Air Jordan brand to fight racial injustice in the United States. So Jordan has definitely done his part to make people’s lives better without having to physically go downtown to play basketball with kids.
