Venus and Serena Williams’ 81-year-old father ‘King’ Richard reveals Muhammad Ali’s unique qualities in stirring ‘Compton Crusade’ confessional

The legendary Williams sisters had an unparalleled impact on tennis history. Even after Serena Williams retires, she remains one of the biggest stars in tennis because of her impeccable statistics, record-breaking benchmarks, and of course, her personality. So does Venus Williams.

Just recently, their childhood coach Rick March shared an example of the sisters’ attitude. He also explained how their father, Richard Williams, instilled an attitude in his sisters that helped them win so many games. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of the aura they develop that enables them to intimidate everyone and foster success.

Serena Williams’ former coach talks sisters’ fierce attitude

Rick March was the sisters’ first coach after their father, Richard Williams. He’s seen them where they started and knows them better than any other coach they’ve had. He recently posted on his Twitter channel about the sisters and how their father developed a trait in them inspired by legendary boxer Muhammad Ali.

His tweet said: “One of the first competing messages from my favorite friend, Compton Crusader Richard Williams, was that he indoctrinated girls with the ALI Manual. An us-against-the-world mentality and the art of intimidation. “Be consistent with your actions, keep your gaze, and make your opponent aware.”

If you’re a true Serena or Venus fan, you’ll know that along with such huge success, the sisters have also experienced failure. But it’s that attitude that keeps them going, standing up, and moving forward. That’s where their never-die attitude comes from, and it shows clearly.

Rick March has always shown trust in the sisters simply because of the traits they had from the beginning. He even invested over $92,000 in them when they were children, which was a financial risk for him at the time.

The world-famous coach always had amazing assumptions about the success the sisters would achieve. Because he saw how Richard raised them and implanted the “Ali script” in them. By the same token, he also took a huge financial risk for his sisters by buying them an RV, which cost him about $92,000, twice the price of his own car.

If he hadn’t seen the potential in them to become magical children, he would never have gotten this far. The results are before us all. The Williams sisters owe much of their success to their first coach.
