WandaVision: Elizabeth Olsen recalls the TV series “It was a great risk” | TV

Elizabeth Olsen he recalled the shooting of Wanda Visionand the risks that Marvel Studios was running with a product so different from the usual.

Guest of Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show, the actress spoke about how everyone was worried about the failure of the TV series:

Paul Bettany kept calling us the forgotten cousin of the Marvel universe. He felt like he was an annoying cousin that people pushed into a corner… while Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan traveled around the world blowing things up. And Paul and I were just doing a sitcom in the corner. And, of course we were surrounded by our amazing cast and crew.

But we loved what we were doing. We had so much fun doing it. But we really felt that it was coming to an end, that it could potentially ruin us all. (laughs) I think those are the things I enjoy the most when you feel like you could fail at any moment.

WandaVision is available on Disney+.

The plot of the TV series will continue with Agatha Coven of Chaos. To witness the new chapter in the story of Agatha, played by Kathryn Hahn, we will have to wait for 2024. Filming will begin in fact in December and will continue during 2023.

Jac Schaeffer will lead the spin-off as showrunner. The writing team will also include Peter Cameron, Laura Donney, Cameron Squires and Megan McDonnell, who wrote the script for The Marvels together with Nia DaCosta.
