Watch Sydney Sweeney in the new Rolling Stones video

Is there anything Sydney Sweeney can’t do? Euphoria actress who is also known and loved for her role in White Lotusnow a music video star.

Sweeney made a cameo appearance in the video for “Angry”, the newest single from The Rolling Stones, who announced their next album, Hackney Diamonds, this week. It is the band’s first set of new material in 18 years and will include tracks with Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder, as well as the final recordings of late Stones drummer Charlie Watts, who died in 2021.

At a press conference at the Hackney Empire in East London (in honor of the album’s title), Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood spoke with Jimmy Fallon to announce the album. “I don’t want to sound arrogant,” Jagger said, “but we wouldn’t have made this record if we didn’t like it.”

“Angry” is a sign of what’s to come: a big, bombastic song with what Richards called a “funky riff,” with a video highlighting its rock ‘n’ roll power. In it, Sweeney trades in her usual red carpet looks for a pair of cutout leather boyfriends and a matching bustier that won’t look out of place at a party. Euphoria set while she writes in the backseat of an open-top car, playing air guitar and singing along.

Sweeney herself sat front row at the press conference and brought as a guest her mother, who confirmed that she is also a longtime Stones fan. “I got scared and called my family,” Sweeney said when asked to appear in the video. “This is the greatest thing ever. I didn’t know it was going to be the first single, but I love the song, it’s stuck in my head.”

It’s been a busy week for the actress, who jetted into London after a busy schedule at the Venice Film Festival, attending Giorgio Armani’s One Night Only fashion show and Miu Miu’s latest Women’s Tales presentation. Her diary will remain full-time, as well as a role in the upcoming Marvel film. Madame Weband a Barbarella reboot is in the works. But we hope that after this performance she can find time for another music video or two.
