Anthony signed his original shoe contract in 2003. The contract will earn him $3.5 million per year for the next six years. His first signature shoe with Jordan was released in 2004 and was named the Jordan Melo 1.5. But the company discontinued its signature shoe line in 2017. The last shoe in the Melo shoe series is the Jordan Melo M13. Although his shoes are relatively unpopular, some of his most popular shoes have a soft spot among sneakerheads.

Awake’s collaboration with Jordan Airship continues this line of thinking, featuring Melo as the line’s primary ambassador in a short film.
