Blake Shelton’s name has become synonymous Voice since the show premiered in 2011. He appeared as a coach on every season of the show – and became a household name in the process.
But after Season 23, he decided his time in the red chair was over. In October 2022, he announced that he was leaving the series.
“I struggled with this for a while and decided it was time to move on from Voice after Season 23,” Shelton said in a statement. “This show has changed my life for the better in every way and I will always feel at home here. It’s been one hell of a ride these 12 years of changing chairs and I want to thank everyone at Voice from NBC, every producer, writers, musicians, crew and food service workers; you are the best.”
And so far the 24th season – with the participation of Reba McEntire, Niall Horan, Gwen Stefani and John Legend. — it’s been a lot of fun so far, and fans are naturally still missing Shelton.

Luckily, Shelton is busy with a variety of projects that you can tap into if you need a cowboy fix. He is also enjoying a well-deserved rest. This man has been on television for over a decade, guys! He is more than entitled to rest and rest.

Barmageddon, with Voice Host Carson Daly
Yes, second season Barmageddon is on the horizon. It premieres Monday, November 13th at 11/10c on USA Network and airs the following day on Peacock. (Catching up Barmageddon The first season of Peacock is out now.)

Blake Shelton has won the People’s Choice Country Awards.
Shelton appeared at the inaugural People’s Choice Country Awards back in September and received the Social Country Star Award.
“Wow,” Shelton said in his acceptance speech, before cheekily saying, “I moved to Nashville in 1994. And man, I had a lot of dreams. This wasn’t one of them! I don’t even know what that means, but If the fans want me to have it, I’ll damn well hang it on my mantle! Thank you very much, country music fans. That’s right! That’s right, social media! Yes!
