The 54-year-old artist announced that he will be presenting a new podcast series. Issue ’88What will celebrate 1988 hip-hop and feature iconic artists. like Queen Latifah, Salt-N-Pepa, Rakim and Darryl “DMC” McDaniels and others.
“Hip-hop has been a central part of my life for four decades.“I said Will. “I’m excited to share my first-hand experiences with some of hip-hop’s top legends as we delve deep into the roots of one of the most influential music genres in history.”
Former kidnapper will share his perspective on the industry at the moment, having been part of the famous hip-hop duo DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince. The duo, who have released five studio albums, began making music in 1985. Luego Will began his solo career in 1997 with the song “Men in Black,” the main theme of the film of the same name. The track included listings in various regions of the world.
Episodes will include interviews, untold stories, archival footage and personal stories from your actor and musician. The podcast series, which will consist of three episodes, is produced by Wondery, Audible, Westbrook and Awfully Nice. The class of ’88 will run it October 26 on Amazon Music and Audible.
