Zack Snyder on possible continuation of the SnyderVerse

Releasing Snyder’s comic? Director Zack Snyder is willing to revive it SnyderVerse in a comic continuation.

Before HBO Max released the “Snyder Cut” by Justice Leaguethe director of The man of Steel And Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice revealed in a 2020 interview that she had talks with the creative director and publisher of the DC Comics Jim Lee about the possibility of returning to the DC Extended Universe in comic book form. But ahead of the much-anticipated Justice League director’s cut, Snyder says DC “decided not to do” a limited series set before Justice League. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and then Justice League Of Zack Snyder.

“I’d love to if that were a possibility,” Snyder told The Nerd Queens, but added that he hasn’t engaged in any recent talks about doing a DC comic.

“There was a period where we wanted to do it, then there was sort of a change in desire, I think. We are making a graphic novel for Rebel MoonI think we’re going to do an animated short,” Snyder said of his upcoming sci-fi film for Netflix, the first in a series of two episodes. “We’re going to do a bunch of other stuff that’s just crazy, it’s all in the works.”

While he’s busy building the Luna Ribelle universe and developing two new anime series for Netflix, Twilight of the Gods and the animated prequel Army of the Dead Lost VegasSnyder isn’t ruling out realizing his vision of what was planned as a five-film arc that would culminate in two sequels to Justice League. “These DC characters are dear to me,” Snyder said. “So who knows?”

Justice League Of Zack Snyder premiered the post-apocalyptic reality of Knightmare ruled by Darkseid (Ray Porter) with his Superman corrupt (Henry Cavill), a dire future forcing members of the Justice League Batman (Ben Affleck) Cyborgs (Ray Fisher) e Flash (Ezra Miller) to join Deathstroke (Joe Manganiello) Mera (Amber Heard) e Joker (Jared Leto).

The comic would be a prequel to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and a continuation of Snyder’s Justice League epilogue. Previously, Snyder revealed that his comic centered on the “team of ragamuffins left alive trying to make the world right” and that “within this story, we were also going to tell the story of Joker that kills Robin“.

“We talked about making a comic. DC decided not to do it,” Snyder explained in a 2021 interview. “But we talked about possibly doing some sort of mini comic series about Robin’s death and what happened. How the Joker killed Robin and what he did to Batman and set him down this darker path that ended, in a sense, with the arrival of Superman. It would be nice”.

Snyder also shared the first details of Zack Snyder’s #FullCirclea three-day event of screenings that will present Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the IMAX version of Justice League.
