A month after announcing her divorce from her last husband, Sam Ashgari, Britney Spears is still dominating the tabloid pages over her new alleged boyfriend, a guy the US tabloids and the pop star’s family are calling “not very recommendable”. This man “with a criminal past” turned out to be his former housekeeper, Paul Richard Soliz. Who would have entered the singer’s life a year ago as a handyman in the Californian villa of Thousand Oaks.
A very trusting relationship that never sat well with Sam Asghari, who accused his wife of cheating on her with Soliz and having the evidence recorded on a security camera. The 37-year-old employee was allegedly fired “when Britney’s team discovered they were sleeping together” but later “re-entered her life.” But as Page Six explains, Paul Richard Solis doesn’t have a clean criminal record: He was found guilty of disorderly conduct in 2014, and two years later of driving without a license. He was also convicted in 2017 of driving with a suspended license, and in December 2022 he was found guilty of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

In an interview in court, where he was summoned on charges of violating the terms of his probation, Soliz spoke about Britney for the first time. “She’s a phenomenal woman,” he said, “she’s a very good person and a very positive person. He’s a really good person.” Paul Richard also revealed that the superstar is “doing great” following his divorce from Asghari, whom he called a “good guy.”
According to other sources, Soliza “would have been fired by Britney, but she still chose to spend time with him and does not try to hide their strong friendship.”
