When you pay a million dollars for Tupac Shakur’s gold, ruby and diamond crown ring, you want to show it off. So, after showing off a newly auctioned piece of art for the first time last week on one of her Instagram stories, Drake once again showcased that legacy in a Sidetalk NYC interview at the Starlets strip club.
The rapper told the show’s host that the mother of his son Adonis, Sophie Brusso, has taken her place on the club’s wall of fame.. “I’m wearing Pac’s ring,” Drake said, pointing at the camera with his $1.01 million pinky. He showcased a custom piece worn by Shakur during his final public performance at the 1996 MTV Video Music Awards. “Over there, on the wall, my mother.” When asked what he looks for most in a woman, the single father replied, “Humor.” Stating that if a woman looks at his interview with glassy eyes and doesn’t find it funny, then it’s not for him. The video also included footage of some of the club’s dancers throwing wads of money and urging the audience to come out.
This week, the rapper canceled the previously postponed 21 Savage show on FedExForum scheduled for August 6th. His team stated that these were production problems. The Memphis show was previously scheduled for June 29 as the start date for the tour.
