Geronimo Stilton will land in Hollywood. Thanks to the agreement with Atlantyca, Radar Pictures, a film production company based in Los Angeles, has in fact secured the rights to make an animated feature film dedicated to Geronimo Stilton, the journalist mouse most loved by children all over the world, who represents one of the greatest “Made in Italy” successes at an international level.

The Adventures of Geronimo Stilton, chronicled by Geronimo himself in a series of books for boys and girls, have sold over 180 million copies in 150 countries making Geronimo one of the greatest publishing successes of all time. The character, born from an idea by Elisabetta Dami, has been the protagonist of over 300 books, translated into more than 50 languages ​​as well as, among other things, graphic novels, an animated series in three seasons, eight musicals ( imminent a new debut at the Arcimboldi in Milan on 12 and 19 March), of videogames and toys. Now Radar Pictures will accompany Geronimo Stilton in his next big adventure: a film for the big screen.

Award-winning animation director David Soren (Turbo, Captain Underpants and upcoming Under the Boardwalk) has been attached to adapt and direct the animated film based on the beloved children’s series and explained: “I am thrilled to be working with Radar Pictures on this incredibly popular book series in America and around the world. Geronimo Stilton is loved everywhere and the time has come for his first hilarious cinematic adventure!”.

In the film, eager to establish himself as a journalist and to go beyond the articles that are usually assigned to him, a young Geronimo will come across a much bigger problem than he could have ever imagined. But, working together with his entire family, he may be able to succeed, as long as he predicts his opponents’ moves in time, in an intriguing game of cat and mouse!

The film will be the result of a collaboration between Radar Pictures and Atlantyca Entertainment, the Milan-based transmedia company that manages the worldwide editorial rights of the Geronimo Stilton book series, published in Italy by Edizioni Piemme and in the United States and other countries. of English from Scholastic, the global company specializing in publishing, education and media for children.
