Presentation of the new single of the group Rolling Stones, Wickedwith short jokes about the new album Hackney Diamonds, will be released on October 20 (pre-order here). This is the first album to contain only unreleased songs in 13 years.
The presentation is always done with great skill by Jimmy Fallon., who at some point also starts imitating Mick irresistibly. Mick Jagger, Keith Richard and Ronnie Wood are apparently present on stage, who reminded that there are still two tracks recorded with Charlie Watts on the new Rolling Stones album.
“Since Charlie left, everything has changed.. He was number four and now he’s gone,” Richards said. “Of course we missed him incredibly. But thanks to Charlie Watts, we have Steve Jordan.”

Hackney Diamonds this album was born quickly, despite the fact that the band had been working on unpublished works for so long. The Rolling Stones admitted that they set a deadline for themselves to release a new album, thus debunking rumors that they have become “lazy” in creating new songs.
The title, as Keith and Mick explained, was chosen after they thought of other titles such as Hit and run or Break and grab. In the end, inspired by the slang of the Hackney area, they chose Hackney Diamonds, which has a very similar meaning to previous working titles. These are, so to speak, robberies, but it is better if this happens in London. “We are a London band after allKeith says proudly.
However, the album was conceived and recorded very quickly.. Ronnie reveals what they’ve been thinking about the record since last Christmas. At this point, Mick said, “Well, let’s give ourselves a good deadline and think that we will finish it by Valentine’s Day!”. Then they went into the studio in December and mixed it in January. As promised.
The three songs were co-written by the album’s producer Andrew Watt, best known for directing a number of recent hit albums from artists as diverse as Elton John, Justin Bieber, Iggy Pop, Post Malone and Miley Cyrus. They are inside Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder AND Lady Gaga. These last two make it to the final – and it looks beautiful – Sweet sound of heaven.

New single Wicked release the riff on run me
Wicked, the first single, was first born in Jamaica, a place the band loved. They play one of the classic Stones riffs on this song and Jagger is in amazing shape. The text highlights a quarrel between lovers, between environmental references and irony about age.
“It hasn’t rained for a month now, the river is dry / We haven’t made love and I want to know why / I’m still on my pills / And I’m leaving for Brazil.” Great rock and roll vibe!
In a video released from the press conference, the band appears on large signboards in Los Angeles buildings, painting iconic images from their long history, and the highly sensual Sidney Sweeney we met on the show Euphoriadances dangerously on the hood of a red convertible traveling down the Sunset Strip.
Audience questions
Several useless questions from fans were also read, such as: what is the secret to a long marriage? Has anyone in the band ever been tempted to marry a fan in the audience? To this last question, Richards apparently answered like a good rocker: “I could marry them all, maaan!”
But there is a good anecdote worth remembering. Asked if the band remembers their first press conference for their first album, Mick replied: “Keith and I were sitting in a pub on Denmark Street in central London. There were two journalists there, one from NME and one from Melody Maker. Together we bought a pint of beer and said: here is our album.“.
