Not only Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have spoken out after the news of their marriage’s end. In a joint statement released on both social media platforms, the two stars said they were separating on amicable terms. “After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually agreed to end our marriage amicably,” the statement said. “There’s a lot of speculation as to why, but it’s really a collaborative decision and we sincerely hope everyone respects our privacy wishes for us and our children.”

The Jonas Brothers member filed for divorce in Miami-Dade County in Florida on Tuesday, Sept. 5, Billboard confirmed. In court documents, he stated that “the marriage between the parties is irrevocably annulled.”

The former couple met in 2016 and tied the knot at two ceremonies in 2019. The first was a surprise wedding in Las Vegas in May, right after attending the Billboard Music Awards, where the Jonas Brothers had just performed. Then they planned a magnificent wedding at the end of June in the south of France.
