Marina del Pilar government protects 325,000 boys and girls with vaccination program

Mexicali.- The governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Villa Olmeda, explained that in order to take care of the health of children in Baja California, 325,837 children from the municipalities of the entity have been vaccinated through the Childhood Vaccination Program.

The childhood immunization program prioritizes dangerous diseases among young populations such as tuberculosis, hepatitis, diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, rotavirus, pneumococcus, measles, rubella and mumps.

Marina del Pilar expressed her gratitude to the Mexican government of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador for allocating resources and permanent support to the national administration to strengthen health operations.

He emphasized that in keeping with the values ​​of the Fourth Transformation, priority should be given to the vulnerable groups through the strengthening of the physical health infrastructure and the long-term monitoring of the supply of medicines.

Baja California Health Secretary José Adrian Medina Amarillas stressed that more than 42,000 doses of the hexavalent vaccine, which helps prevent diseases such as influenza, hepatitis B and polio, have been used.
