Only seven players in NBA history have scored more than 30,000 points. Still, Michael Jordan’s reaching this historic milestone may be the most cause for celebration. The Chicago Bulls legend was unable to don a red jersey when he reached the 30K mark because he was in the final stages of his career with the Washington Wizards. Ironically, however, Jordan reached this milestone against his former team.

Not all players who hit the 30k mark celebrate this way. In fact, the Los Angeles Lakers didn’t even pause to give LeBron James a moment of appreciation after he recently reached the 40,000-point milestone. His wife, Savannah James, also expressed her frustration via Instagram Stories.

The Bulls didn’t give up until the final minute, frustrating the Wizards. In the final minute, Chicago fell behind by 6 points, but with Ron Mercer in excellent form, Chicago still had a good chance to overtake the score.
