Plot of the film Stray Eagles: The Stray Eagles were a group of scouts from Milan and Monza, boys between 14 and 20 years old, who decided to rebel against the Duce’s decision to close all youth associations. Led by Andrea Ghetti and Giulio Cesare Uccellini, known as Kelly, they continue the scout activities clandestinely, to keep the promise: to help others in all circumstances. Fascism persecutes them until they beat Kelly to death, who loses the use of an ear. Despite the obstacles and violence, however, the Eagles do not stop. After 1943, the boys create an underground scout movement which will support the resistance until the end of the war. Together with some teachers from the San Carlo college in Milan, the Stray Eagles become part of OSCAR – Catholic Scout Organization for Wanted Assistance.
